# Introduction

In May of 2022, we founded Fat Cats, an investment community focused on exploring Web3 opportunities.

While our initial focus was primarily on NFTs, we quickly expanded our mandate to encompass all aspects of Web3, including cryptocurrency trading, Bitcoin mining and venture capital opportunities.

In May of 2024, we voted to separate the investor collective, known as Fat Cats, from the growth fund. The Fat Cats NFTs now grant access to research and investment opportunities, while Aurion Capital, represented by an ERC20 token, serves as the pro-rata share and vote.
