💎Elections

Council members are elected by holders of the $AURION token through a pro-rata voting system.

The position of chairperson is hold by our founder in perpetuity, unless a community referendum is called to replace him.

The other four council seats are up for election on a rotating basis, with one seat coming up every four months. The councillor who was elected first—or in cases where multiple councillors were elected at the same time, the one with the highest vote count—will be up for reelection first.

If a councillor wishes to retain their seat at the end of their term, a reconfirmation vote is held instead of a general election.

The council has the authority to call a vote of no confidence to unseat a councillor. In such cases, a new election is conducted to fill the vacant seat.
